This course shall give the participants the necessary basic knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical training to use basic fall protection PPE and perform safe manoeuvres when working at heights. The key learning objectives are:
1.The Learners are able to demonstrate knowledge of hazardsand risks associated with working at height, including harness suspensiontrauma.
2.The Learners are able to demonstrate understanding ofcurrent national legislation regarding working at heights.
3.The Learners are able to demonstrate correct identificationof Personal Fall Protection Equipment, including identification ofEuropean standard markings.
4.The Learners are able to demonstrate the knowledge andskills to correctly use, inspect, service and store relevant PPE, e.g.harness, fall arrest lanyards, etc This includes correct identification ofanchor points.
5.The Learners are able to demonstrate safe access in an openmetallic construction via a ladder safe system or permanent/temporarylife-lines.
